APRIL 2024 CHLORINE PRODUCTION

In April, the European chlorine production stood at 666,328 tonnes. With 22,211 tonnes, the April 2024 average daily production was 0.3% lower than in the previous month (March 2024: 22,276 tonnes) but 11.1% higher than in April 2023 (19,987 tonnes).

With 221,624 tonnes, the April 2024 caustic soda stocks were 8.8% lower than in the previous month (March 2024: 242,992 tonnes), but 71,923 tonnes below the level of April 2023 (293,547 tonnes).

The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK in April 2024.
