MAY 2024 CHLORINE PRODUCTION
In May, the European chlorine production reached 685,449 tonnes. With 22,111 tonnes, the May 2024 average daily production was 0.5% lower than in the previous month (April 2024: 22,211 tonnes) but 10.3% higher than in May 2023 (20,042 tonnes).
With 211,764 tonnes, the May 2024 caustic soda stocks were 4.5% lower than in the previous month (April 2024: 221,728 tonnes), but 55,879 tonnes below the level of May 2023 (267,643 tonnes).
The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK in May 2024.
