Last week, Euro Chlor’s Technical & Safety Manager, Thomas Vanfleteren, took part in the Chlorine Institute 2026 Annual Meeting, Technology Symposium, and Table Top Expo in Houston.

The event provided an excellent opportunity to connect with international experts from across the chlor‑alkali community and to exchange views on key technical, safety, and regulatory topics.

Euro Chlor was pleased to contribute to the programme with two presentations covering:

• EU regulatory developments relevant to the global chlor‑alkali industry
• Safety aspects of nitrogen trichloride in chlor‑alkali operations

Beyond the technical sessions, the symposium also offered valuable discussions and the chance to explore the exhibition hall, showcasing the latest innovations shaping the sector, including from some of our Euro Chlor partners.
