May 2026 Chlorine production

In May 2026, the European chlorine production reached 700,778 tonnes. With 22,606 tonnes, the May 2026 average daily production was 7.6% higher than in the previous month (April 2026: 21,003 tonnes) and 16.8% higher than in May 2025 (19,353 tonnes).

With 235,086 tonnes, the May 2026 caustic soda stocks were 15.2% higher than in the previous month (April 2026: 204,129 tonnes) and 45,374 tonnes above the level of May 2025 (189,712 tonnes).

The following tables give the details of chlorine production and caustic soda stocks in the EU-27 countries plus Norway, Switzerland, and the UK May 2026.
